Reply OPTIONS to SBC

Post by david.wan »

1. Brekeke Product Name and Version:
OEM Version 3.2.5.0 Standard

2. Java version:
1.7.0_45

3. OS type and the version:
RHEL 6

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:
Oracle SBC

5. Your problem:
Hi, I have a SBC connecting to two brekeke SIP servers. The SBC is using round robin load balancing to the SIP servers with ping OPTIONS every 30s to check if the SIP servers are keeping alive. However, the SIP servers does not recognize the ping OPTIONS from SBC and always return 404 no match rules. Can anyone please tell me how to make the SIP servers reply OPTIONS packet? Many Thanks.

Try the DialPlan rule below.
It returns "200 Ok" to OPTIONS requests.
Matching Patterns
$request = ^OPTIONS
Deploy Patterns
$response = 200

The OPTIONS reply is ok now. But all of the replies are logged to error log file. However to set do not log OPTIONS?

Use Brekeke SIP Server ver 3.3.
It has the setting to tune the error log.

The server is already production. I cannot put the Beta version 3.3 on the network... Btw, may I ask if 403 registration fail can also be configured in 3.3? Because I would like to check if there is DDoS attack to my server which does not logging in error log. Thanks.

But you can see them in the Blocked Log even if you are using ver3.2.

Add some honeypot rules to protect the server.
