Problem in opening the Registered-DB

Post by mandarsovani »

1. Brekeke Product Name and version: 2.1.6.6

2. Java version: java=1.5.0_12

3. OS type and the version: Linux (i386:2.6.18-1.2798.fc6)

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved: X-lite Softphone

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/ ... terns.html :
pattern 5

6. Your problem:
After extracting the sip2_1_6_6.zip, I copied the proxy.war file into apache-tomcat-5.5.23/webapps folder. After activating the license when i start the server I get the error as:
Can not open the Registered-DB. Check entries under Configuration | Database, then try restarting the SIP server.

I've confirmed the following things:
1)All the settings under Configuration | Database are default. All the third party databases are disabled.
2)Port 9001 is open and free.
3)/etc/hosts file contains only
127.0.0.1 localhost

But still the problem persists. :(

Mandar.

How about a firewall or iptables?

I think disabling of iptables or accepting of port 9001 may solve the issue.

I've checked that no other service is running on port 9001. Anyways firewall or iptables are concerned with external entities. I am not able to start the server itself. Firewall/iptable will come into picture once I start the server and UA begin to access it.

Can anyone please suggest any other configuration changes that I am missing. I've spent almost 3-4 days on this problem, but still havent succeded.

Thanks,
Mandar.
