Hi,

You create users in the Sip Server so the users can register to your system. You don't have to create the user in the pbx for the user to call another user but if you want the user to be able to use the pbx functions like voice mail and call forwarding etc then you must also enter a user in the pbx.

One more question.

What would happen if I created the users in the pbx and didn`t created those in the sip server?

Nothing. A PBX user only adds additional services to a sip user.

If you have authentication enabled on your sipserver, your UAs will not be able to register at sipserver, if you didn't create your users at sipserver.

If you don't use authentication, creation of user on pbx is enough.

That's right Pablo, but if you don't have authentication set to on in your sip server anyone in the world can use your pbx without permission. You should only set it up without auth for testing.
