I found the problem. I changed it to com.brekeke.pbx.Setting.MC_PREFIX=msg and this fixed the ...

Yes. We have been using Brekeke PBX for a long time.

I think the 8<ext> dialing pattern for voicemail access was the default for v1.

There is no ARS rule with 8<ext>. It appears this behavior is inherent in the PBX. I recall that this was the behavior in previous versions of Brekeke PBX and was not part of ARS. As I mentioned, even thought the rule "mediaserver_prefix" is disabled, the PBX still routes 8<ext> to voicemail. I am ...

>Yes. I received this too. That is what prompted me to try the feature. Unfortunately as I noted, the feature is not very useful for accessing a help desk (or other hunt group) as currently designed. If you use pbx prefix, your scenario works. If you want to call to 001, just call to pbx001. Make ...

So can I suggest that this behavior be corrected. If the intent of the feature is to all customers to call a sales or help desk, the way it works now is not very useful.

I haven't tried 2.1 beta because I have a production environment. If this feature is there, then I am happy. I only am posting here because I think this would be a good feature for ARS. I am already using the $target parameter of the SIP Server dialplan as a work-around. However, I prefer not to ...

Changing the Proxy Address setting does indeed change where the REGISTER message is sent, but is also changes the SIP header. My service provider insists that the server name that is part of the URI be the only server contained within the SIP message and that the message be redirected to his proxy ...
