fixing an old product

1. Brekeke Product Name and Version: SIP Server 2.3.6.0 Standard

2. Java version: 6 update 15

3. OS type and the version: server 2003 SP2

5. Your problem:
This system was setup before my employ with this company. I have never attempted to work with VOIP before.
currently the calls can be initiated but rarely reached its destination. the call times out. after stooping and starting the server we were able to make one call then it stopped working. the log shows error codes 504 and 487.

capture packets at Brekeke server and check
who sent 504 or 487
is there any response from destination
