5. Your problem:
Our system has several sites connected via the PSTN (mostly ISDN links). Our ARS use the DTMF field, so that the National Number is first dialled then the DTMF field has {1sec}{1sec}$1 which makes it wait 2 seconds, then send the original dialled extension number.
At the other end, the call is routed to an Auto attendant, and the extension number is dialled into it and the call connects.
The fly in the ointment is that we are getting a number of mis-dials, so that the caller gets to the wrong extension, or an invalid number. Investigations with Wireshark tell us that the Brekeke is not sending the DTMF digits as SIP INFO messages. Presumably, they are sent in band, in the RTP stream, but they are definitely not present as SIP messages. On the incoming side (the end receiving the call) the ISDN gateways do use SIP INFO, and we can see these messages, and we can also see that there are extra digits, so if the caller dials 300 (say) we see 33000 at the other end. This is the cause of our problem. Really the only source of trouble is between the originating Brekeke and the ISDN gateway. Everywhere else the signalling is digital.
Anyone know how to force the Brekeke to send SIP INFO?
Thanks in anticipation
Steve
