let me clarify...

do you want to use an Asterisk as another service?
if yes, create new ARS for connecting to Asterisk.

do you want to use an Asterisk as a SIP client??
if yes, register Asterisk in the Brekeke as SIP client.

otherwise, give me more details..

Asterisk PBX Server to Brekeke

Post by REHANCELLIERS »

Yes the last Scenario is the one and that is precisely my problem.

A cannot in some instances get it right to get the Asterisk PBX to register as a SIP Client (Multi Tennant).

When I set the Asterisk Server up as follows, I get it to register and receive inbound calls, but cannot make outgoing calls:
  • disallow=all
    allow=g729
    host=theSipServerDnsName
    insecure=very
    secret=thePassword
    type=peer
    username=theUserID
    context=from-trunk

    Under Registration string:
    theUserID:thePassword@theSipServerDnsName

    " theSipServerDnsName" is the Brekeke SIP Server to be register to, "theUserID" is the person’s SIP userID and "thePassword" his password.

Is there anybody who has successfully connected an Asterisk PBX server to Brekeke PBX as a SIP client who can assist me with the Asterisk set-up?

capture packets at brekeke server about the call from Asterisk to brekeke and check
what response sent from brekeke
is there any auth infor sent back from Asterisk
is the From header sip id and auth id the same as what set at brekeke side/sip server/user authentication

there is pbx trial which can be download from
http://www.brekeke.com/download/download_pbx_2_0.php
you can install it on anther pc and test with Asterisk
it will be easier to check the issue
