Back to back SIP Proxy configuration

Post by markl11 »

1. Brekeke Product Name and version: SIP Proxy 2.x

2. Java version: latest version

3. OS type and the version: Windows XP

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved: XLite

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/ ... terns.html : closest pattern is pattern 7

6. Your problem:

Hi,

I have had a look in the forums and wiki, but haven't been able to see a solution (perhaps I have overlooked the obvious).

Anyway, I have two Brekeke Proxy Servers:

Proxy1: IP address 10.10.10.84

Proxy2: 10.10.10.85

I also have two XLite phones:

Phone1: 10.10.10.33 (registered to Proxy 1, with number 1111)

Phone2: 10.10.10.56 (registered to Proxy 2, with number 2222)

This is obviously a test configuration.

I have phone 1 registered with Proxy1, and phone 2 is registered with Proxy2.

Anyway, I am unable to call between phone 1 and phone 2. I can't figure out what dial plan I need on the proxies.

At the moment, I have the following dial plans:

On Proxy1:

Matching Patterns:

$request=^INVITE
To:2(.+)@

Deploy Patterns:

To:%1@10.10.10.85

On Proxy2:

Matching Patterns:

$request=^INVITE
To:1(.+)@

Deploy Patterns:

To:%1@10.10.10.84

It *seems* that the INVITE messages are correctly routed from (for example) XLite phone 1, via Proxy 1 and then Proxy 2, to XLite phone 2222 (i can see this using wireshark). BUT the XLite phones do not ring.

Can anyone help me with this problem - I believe my dialplan is incorrect, but I do not know how to correct it.

Thankyou very much for your help,

Mark

1(.+)@ --> (1.+)@
2(.+)@ --> (2.+)@

On Proxy1:
Matching Patterns:
$request = ^INVITE
To = sip:(2.+) @

Deploy Patterns:
To = sip:%1@10.10.10.85

On Proxy2:
Matching Patterns:
$request = ^INVITE
To = sip:(1.+) @

Deploy Patterns:
To = sip:%1@10.10.10.84
