1. Brekeke Product Name and Version:
SIP Server, Latest Version
2. Java version:
1.8.0
3. OS type and the version:
Windows 7
4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:
Various - 3CX, Yeastar Gateway, etc.
5. Your problem:
I'd like to set up a redundant/mirrored SIP server. I have the first server running. I've looked at the documentation, including the Wiki, and while it explains everything pretty well, it references using a virtual IP address on the two SIP server machines. But, I can't find any information, anywhere, on setting up a virtual IP address on a Windows 7 machine. Can anyone help?

Just add a virtual IP address as a second IP address

Or you can use "netsh" command.

That first link shows how to set a static IP in a machine. That's not a virtual IP address.
The second link shows how to add additional IP addresses to a machine's network interface card. I don't think that is a virtual IP either, as a virtual IP address is not associated with a specific machine's network interface card.

Hi Mike, is that always going to be the case? The Primary and Secondary SIP servers having the same IP address.Mike wrote:We use Proextender often in our redundancy mechanism because both Primary and Secondary SIP servers share the same IP address.
Please add this IP address in Primary SIP Server's Windows OS.
