Admin Tool - INACTIVE- show error cannot open Database ...

Post by neoitechnology »

1. Brekeke Product Name and Version:2.1.0.4

2. Java version:1.6

3. OS type and the version:Windows XP

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:

5. Your problem: I need some hrlp, suddenly when i open the Web Admin tool, it gives me the error message "Cannot open database go to configuration Database to change settings... . The server status shows INACTIVE. But the SIP server is running, all registered clients work, can make calls to each other.
I checked the Database, followed all instructions in the support page, no problems found, but the Admin Tool does not work, cannot add any clients or delete clients.
I tried everything, but no result. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME? This is really urgent, i have a new project and need the Admin Tool to work.
Thank you

Are you using 3rd party database (such as MySQL) with Brekeke SIP Server?
Have you rebooted the OS?

By the way..
The version 2.1.0.4 is a pretty old version.... Upgrade it to the version 2.4.8.6 (the last version of ver 2) or the ver 3.x.

Dear Ambrosio,
yes it is an old version, but Brekeke never send me an update. It worked well until a few days ago, nothing changed. Rebooted the machine several times, no results. I use the generic database ( port 9001) that came with the Brekeke Software installation on Windows XP.

What did do just before the issue started happening?
Did you do Windows Update or install a firewall?

Make sure that any firewalls running on the same machine don't block the port 9001.

Is your hard disk stable enough?
If a disk has a corruption, the database might be broken.
If you have a backup, restore it.
