6. Your problem:
We are in the process of configuring High Availability and mirroring on our Berkeke SIP Servers. We have 2 NICs in each server. One NIC on each server has a public IP address and the other NIC is a direct link between the 2 servers and is used for the heartbeat and mirroring functionality. Currently when the primary server becomes unreachable the Secondary server takes the " Virtual" ip address. I also put in a heartbeat action rule on the primary that when his heartbeat fails it will disable the public network interface to prevent a duplicate IP address when it comes back online. Our issue is that at this point we have to manually go in and reconfigure the IP addresses to put everything back in the original configuration once the primary is reachable again. Is there anyway to have the servers revert back to their original primary/secondary configuration once both servers are back up and can reach each other over the heartbeat NICs?
High availability configuration question
