BYE message authentication rule

Post by gmanor77 »

1. Brekeke Product Name and version:

SIP Server 2.4.8.6 standard

2. Java version:

3. OS type and the version:

Windows xp

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/ ... terns.html :

pattern 1

6. Your problem:

Hello,
I am trying to configure the server to challenge BYE method.
I tried:

Matching Patterns - $request = ^BYE
Deploy Patterns - $auth = true

It seems that BYE is not recognized in the Matching patterns as a request.
With other Methods (like OPTIONS) it seems to work.

Is there any additional configuration needed?
Is there any other way to make it work?

Best regards,
Guy

This is because BYE is a mid-session request.
The DialPlan catches only requests which have unique Call-ID.

The session plugin API may help you to meet the requirement...
