SIP Subscribe and SIP Notify

Post by bonifatio »

1. Brekeke Product Name and version:
Brekeke SIP Server , Version 2.4.3.0
2. Java version:
6.11
3. OS type and the version:
windows server 2008
4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/ ... terns.html :5

6. Your problem:
When receiving a SIP Subscribe message from an UA I want BSS to reply with a SIP Notify containing the URL of our Auto Provisioning Server.
Q1: is this supported by BSS
Q2: what do I need to program?

Thanks for you reply.
I was kind of hoping it would also be possible without the pbx version.

Since Brekeke SIP Server is a SIP proxy server not SIP-UA, it doesn't send NOTIFY for SUBSCRIBE.

Why do you want to receive NOTIFY?
What kind of SIP UA are you using??

I am using Yealink videophone, which has this plugnplay feature that works on SIP subscribe and based on the SIP notify contents is able to redirect to provisioning server address.

Can Yealink work without the subscription?

Yes, we can still pre-program the phone with option 66 and link to config server using tftp/http or ftp. Would have been nice to use subscribe feature instead.

Hi Lommertoory,

What kind of SIP client are you using?
Are you sure these services accept SUBSCRIBE requests?
