1. Brekeke Product Name and version: 2.27.8

2. Java version: 6.2.6

3. OS type and the version: Cent OS 5.5

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/ ... terns.html :

6. Your problem:

Hi. I have seen http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/viewtopi ... c8cfba61fd but when looking through the Brekeke documentation I did not see an option for cntLoadBalance. Is my version to old or is it just not documented ? Also to make sure I understand what's written there if I want to round-robin between two servers I should have two rules for each "rule (so if I have 1 number and I want to load balance I would put in the rule twice ?

It is a user defined variable.
You can define your own variable name with the prefix "&".

The version 2.2.7.8 is pretty old..
Use the latest version because a old version's DialPlan will not work as Round Robin.

I updated to the latest version and I will try it in a bit. Can you please explained user defined variable ? Is it something that I can set e.g. &foo=bar or is it variables that are not documented. If it's the first how does the system know to do load balancing ?

Also if one host is down what will the system do ? Will it go to the other one ? Is there any option to send OPTIONS to the hosts ?

Or can I have the hosts register with brekeke and it will send round robin to the ones that are registered ?

Thanks.

As an update I tried what was written in the URL and it did not work. It always just went to the second rule.

Yes, Right!

> If it's the first how does the system know to do load balancing ?

In the example you mentioned, the DialPlan is using &cntLoadBalance as the counter for balancing the load.

Use this..

Paste your DialPlan rules here if you have problems..
