SIP trunks with Nortel pbx

Post by labonte.yves@hydro.qc.ca »

1. Brekeke Product Name and version: 2.2.7.8 evaluation

2. Java version: 6 update 13

3. OS type and the version: XP PRO

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/ ... terns.html : It's in a lab, I can put everything in the same subnet

6. Your problem:

Does anyone know if I can set up a SIP trunk with a pbx from my Brekeke SIP server ?

We have a Nortel pbx network, mostly at release 4.5

If your Nortel PBX supports SIP, it should work with Brekeke SIP Server.
Tey it!

I guess the solution for my needs would be within the dial plan in the SIP server.

I wish I could get my hand on an example of that kind of programming.

thank you hope, that pdf is definitlely going to help.

All I want to do is to be able to route calls from SIP registered phones on BSS to a Nortel pbx.

I guess I will have to create a SIP endpoint on the Nortel NRS and then play with the dial plans on both ends so that calls can flow between the two.

Sounds easy but it could take some time also.

use the dial plan to route call with prefix 9 to another IP

Matching Patterns
$request = ^INVITE
To =sip:9(.+)@

deploy patterns:
To = sip:%1@destinationIP

Trying to set this up with my Nortel pbx, do you have any idea of how to define that pbx ?

In my BSS, do I need to create a client ? a user ? can I use an IP adresse or do I need a URI ?

Thanks for any help.

i havenot used Nortel pbx before.

you can register a phone to BSS and dial 9+a_number,
then bss will send sip:a_number@destinationIP to destinationIP(Nortel pbx ip).
i think if a_number is a user on the Nortel pbx, the user will ring.
