Post by mariem »

1. Brekeke Product Name and version:
Brekeke PBX 2.3.3.0 PRO evaluation
2. Java version:
jre_1.5.0.14
3. OS type and the version:
windows XP
4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:
softphone : x-lite , ekiga , 3CX
Gateway : livebox
5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/ ... terns.html :

6. Your problem:

hello ,

I'm testing this verion of Brekeke , I have tested with softphones and livebox and it works , I used the default configuration, I just add the users, but after a while I wanted to redo the test but it does not work : the softphones can register but not my livebox, it sends the REGISTER request but the server does not answer .

my company is very interested by this product and would like to buy it , but we need it to work with the livebox.

please help me .

do you set authentication on for REGISTER?
check sip server/configuration/SIP/ Authentication

if REGISTER authentication is on, you need to create authentication user at sip server/User Authentication/
or set it off and restart sip server

yes even with the resgiter set to OFF, it still does not work : there is no response . it is as if the server does not work or is not active but it is not the case then I was testing with x-lite and it works .

Did you see the GW register packets on the pbx server?
compare what is different between GW register packets and Xlite.

the difference is the listening port of the gateway = 5060 : the port of X-lite= 39356 and Ekiga = 5061.

we can say that the server does not respond on the same port for listening, but I insist that my livebox can register before without problem, and today I used the BSS as a proxy: my Gateway registers to the PBX, but if I try to register it directly to the PBX does not work.

What should I do? I want to have a single Brekeke server not two .

(exuse my english i am from tunisia)

thank you for your help.

did you restart sip server when you disabled the register auth?
did you change any other settings or dialplan?
You may experience registering problems when your Dial Plan is missing "$request=^INVITE" in Matching Patterns

I use the default dial plan , and I do not understand the problem: if I use a proxy it will work but if I register the Gateway directly to PBX that does not work .

and in case I set Register Authentication to off , sip server / registred clients tel me that my livebox is saved but it does not send trying and the 200 ok and as the livebox does not receive the 200 ok the way does not mount .

on which side you cannot see 100 trying and 200 OK? on the machine running pbx or on the GW side?
is your GW behind NAT?
if yes, you need to do port forwarding.
