dealy in setup calls and strange answer from web

Post by obini »

1. Brekeke Product Name and version:sup server 2.1.6.6

2. Java version:1.6.3

3. OS type and the version:W2003

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:any

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/ ... terns.html :5

6. Your problem: sometime happens that the server seems to be in pause for a few seconds (10 to15 seconds) during this time all the calls are in trying for the same time , also in this time if you try to change the web pages the server seems to be freezed and at the end appears a windows with " no response from sip server" after all that things the calls in trying are routed correctly , up to the next time that this strange thing appear again , is possible that is the version of java? i already try to downgrade to 1.5.xx but after the downgrade the sip server didn't start and i put again the 1.6.3 version of java, maybe i must reinstall the sip server after the downgrade again but i'm not sure to loose the license in this way

You need to check the following... it will be a cause of the issue.
- did another software consume the CPU resource in the same PC at that time?
- did network down at that time?
- did a SIP user make a call to invalid FQDN?
(If so, the SIP Server can not resolve it by DNS..)

thanks for your reply

- no the cpu resource are ok (no other software)
- the network is ok
- what do you mean? i use FQDN but i didn't put the name of the domain in the settings where i can put it? i must create e domain o i must put the name in the realm place?

If you are using an FQDN which isn't resolved by DNS in SIP-URI, it will be a cause of the issue..

How often does the issue happen?

Hi

Are you using any firewall or packet filter software on the server's PC?
If you are using such a software, disable it or open the SIP port there.

Also, I can recommend you to re-install Java and SIP Server.
