Problem with install on Linux

Post by elkabong33 »

1. Brekeke Product Name and version: SIP Server 2.1

2. Java version: 1.5.0_16

3. OS type and the version: Debian Etch

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved: N/A

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/ ... terns.html :

6. Your problem:

I am unable to get Brekeke Sip to run. I followed the instructions as per the Admin Guide and I can confirm that I am seeing the tomcat default page. However, I can't browse to http://MyBrekekeIP:8180/proxy and I am getting this error:

HTTP STATUS 500

type Exception report

message

description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.

exception

I am a bit confused as to the correct location to copy the proxy.war file to. There are 3 possible locations as follows:

1) /usr/share/tomcat5.5/server/webapps/
2) /var/lib/tomcat5.5/webapps/
3) /user/share/tomcat5.5-webapps/

Can someone please clarify this issue for me?

How about access permission? Please set read/write/execute to the install folder.

> 1) /usr/share/tomcat5.5/server/webapps/
> 2) /var/lib/tomcat5.5/webapps/
> 3) /user/share/tomcat5.5-webapps/

Where is the tomcat folder?

Also.. Can you access http://MyBrekekeIP:8180/ and see the tomcat message?
