4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved: Linksys VOIP gateway

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/ ... terns.html : Pattern 1

6. Your problem:
Dear Sir,
When SIP server receives REGISTER, it returns 100 Trying and then 483 Too Many Hops. The Max-Forwards of REGISTER is 70. It works well on the same R52 laptop computer when booting with Windows XP (ONDO SIP Server 2.1.6.2). The R52 has 2 OS: Fedora 8 and Windows XP. Do you have any advice?

Regards,

Is your /etc/hosts file well configured?

Thank you for your reply. My /etc/hosts is as below:

# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost localhost
::1 localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6

I did not change any config of ONDO SIP server, and I used SIP server's IP address in UA. Is that OK?

Hi

I think you need to add your PC's IP address in the /etc/hosts..

Hi,

According to Administrator's Guide v2.1, I added my pc's IP address or FQDN in GUI / Configuration / System / Network / Interface address 1 and it works. The document also explains why Windows does not have this problem:

"In a Windows OS environment, Brekeke SIP Server will automatically get the local IP addresses if not specified here."

Thank you.
