Auto Attendant - Do not read digits

Post by ibrahimjaber »

1. Brekeke Product Name and version:
Brekeke PBX, Version 2.1.5.6 , Pro
2. Java version:
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 update 4
3. OS type and the version:
Windows 2000 server SP4
4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:
X-Pro
5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/ ... terns.html :
Pattern 1
6. Your problem:

1- Is there a way to force callers to Autoattendant 001 to hear the complete recording before reading the extension number they want to reach?
2- If 1 the above is not possible, can we just configure the autoattendant not to read digits at all? This way the caller will have to wait the IVR recording to end and they will be automatically transferred to the configured default operator.

3- There is like 15 sec of silence after the end of the "auto attendant greeting message" and before an incoming call is transferred to the default operator. Is it a timer we can shrink?

Thank you,

Hi there,

I saw this in the Waki:

How to change the wait time before the call is transfered to the Default operator if the incoming call does not press a number?

Let's assume user 1000 is your auto attendant number.
Open pbx_install_directory\webapps\pbx\WEB-INF\work\pbx\users\1000\user.properties
To change the wait time (default is 20 seconds) to 10 seconds,
Add the following line in the file.
ex.dtmfwaittimemillis=10000

Hope that helps.

Thank you Colin,
This worked just fine for number 3.
I was wondering if you or anybody on this forum can help in number 1 and 2?
It is just I want the autoattendant not to read or "read and ignore" the digits the user press while hearing the prompt.

Thank you,
