Installing SIP server at linux ubuntu problem

2. Java version:
Jre1.4.2

3. OS type and the version:
linux ubuntu 7.04

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:
X-lite

6. Your problem:

I have downloaded the tomcat v 5.5 but i am still can not bring the web administration port 18080 is up...

I faild to start the SIP server at all in this OS...

Can you post any error messages from Tomcat?

There is no error log i found for this service...

i am usually check the ports by using

ubuntu#netstat -an

and always i never find those ports are up for 18080 and for SIP 5060

I believe the default port is 8080 not 18080. Give it a try.
