SPA-3000 with Dynamic IP and using dyndns.org for solution

Post by hoanguyen »

1. Brekeke Product Name and version:

2. Java version:

3. OS type and the version:Version 1.5.3.0

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved: SPA-3000 with dynamic IP and using dyndns.org for solution.

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/ ... terns.html :

6. Your problem: follow your instruction, everything work well, but when the IP at UA site change, ONDO SIP does not change.

- DEPLOY: sip:$1@xxx.gotdns.org:5061
for example, the IP is 111.111.111.111, then the IP at UA site change to: 222.222.222.222, making call and see in the sessions:
sip:xxxxx@xxx.gotdns.org:5061
(111.111.111.111) ---> the IP not change, it should be cached somewhere, and restart ONDO SIP can solve the problem.
But restart SIP server should not be highly recommend because that will stop all current calls.

Do you have any solution for this issue?

Reduce the DNS cache in the sip config. Default is 3600 which is an hour.

tested it and it didn't work as well.

DEPLOY: sip:$1@xxx.gotdns.org:5061
for example, the IP is 111.111.111.111, then the IP at UA site change to: 222.222.222.222, look at the registered page in ONDO SIP SERVER see the IP already registered and changed to 222.222.222.222, making call and see in the sessions:
sip:xxxxx@xxx.gotdns.org:5061
(111.111.111.111) ---> the IP not change, it should be cached somewhere, and restart ONDO SIP can solve the problem.
But restart SIP server should not be highly recommend because that will stop all current calls.

When it is not working properly ping the dynamic hostname from your brekeke server computer and see if the computer knows the new address.

I do ping to the host and the IP change correctly.
- restart ONDO SIP server can solve the problem! it means that ONDO SIP issue, not the cache in DNS record of the computer.
