just in case somebody has this same problem. Patton gateway does not seem to support UPDATE method for session timer. at least could not find a setting to do so. solution: add the following value to the setting.properteis net.sip.sesstimer.method=INVITE The setting.properties is under thr following ...

I made a sniff with ethereal and I am getting a good bye request by my gateway (SmartNode 2300/E1).. I just hang up with the Pattong Mexico tech support team and they say there must be some kind of incompatibility on the standards because either the gateway or the sip server is generating a time out ...
