Port not ready. Check firewall settings

1. Brekeke Product Name and version:
Brekeke SIP Server, 2.1.6.6/239

2. Java version:1.6.0_06

3. OS type and the version:Windows 2003, 5.2

4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved: xlite softphones

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/networkpatterns.html : Pattern 1

6. Your problem: xlite softphones will not register after installing new Cisco ASA 5510, receive error on brekeke "Port not ready. Check firewall settings and conflicting applications, then restart machine." Re-installed old software based firewall and clients can register without any problems. Everything is internal, does the Brekeke license service reqire a outbound connection?

Thanks for the response. I did find this prior to posting my question. The AV is disabled and no firewall is enabled on the server. Does the Brekeke need outbound connectivity for verifying license?

license activation can be done with or without internet

I had the same problem. If you followed this guide: http://wiki.brekeke.com/wiki/Error-Failed-to-start-SIP-Server ; and it is still not working for you, make sure its not a networking issue. Make sure your NIC is configured correctly. If you have two installed, just unplug the cable on the LAN side and see if BSS starts without the error.
