1. Brekeke Product Name and version:
BSS 2.2.7.7
2. Java version:
1.6.0.7
3. OS type and the version:
SUSE Linux 10 sp2
4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved:

5. Select your network pattern from http://www.brekeke-sip.com/bbs/network/networkpatterns.html :

6. Your problem:

Is it possible to use SRTP, MIKEY with BSS? We have a client which sends MIKEY parameters in the INVITE to setup an SRTP session, when received by the other client, that client responds with a 488 Not Allowed Here. It seems like Brekeke Sip Server proxies the INVITE before it has received the full INVITE from the client (sent in several UDP packets) hence causing the 488.

What kind of SIP UA are you using??
Do both UAs support SRTP and MIKEY?

We use a proprieatary (not available publicly) SIP UA, and yes, they both support SRTP, MIKEY.

We have previously and succesfully used encrypted speech via SRTP, MIKEY on other SIP Servervs such as OpenSER (now OpenSIPS / Kamalio) and a SIP proxy written on Sailfin.

Hi krmkrl,

Can you paste an INVITE packet here?
If you don't use SRTP and MIKEY, can you make a call with your UA?
