1. Brekeke Product Name and Version:Brekeke SIP Server , Version 3.0.5.5 Standard

2. Java version: 8 update 77

3. OS type and the version: Windows 2008 R2

Hi

A customer is interested in upgrading the Tomcat version on their servers for security. Is this something that can be done without impact to Brekeke? Would there be any reconfiguration of Brekeke or Tomcat following the upgrade?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi James,

How did you install Brekeke SIP Server in the Windows?

If you used the Installer program (.exe file) which we provided, we recommend you keep using the current Tomcat.

If you installed Tomcat and Brekeke SIP Server (.war file) separately, you can upgrade Tomcat by yourself.

Thanks

Hi Mike

We install using the exe

I realize that Version 3.0.5.5 is not the latest Brekeke, do the newer installs of Brekeke come with newer releases of Tomcat included? Would it be possible to upgrade Brekeke with a new exe to solve the customers request?

Thanks

For using the latest version of Tomcat, let you install Tomcat and Brekeke SIP Server separately.

Here is the step.

1. Download the backup file from the Brekeke SIP Server currently running.

2. Uninstall Brekeke SIP Server

3. Install new Tomcat

4. Install Brekeke SIP Server with .war file.

5. Apply the same product ID in the Brekeke SIP Server

6. Restore the settings from the backup file.
