|

1. Brekeke Product Name and Version: SIP Server 3.1.8.2
2. Java version: 7
3. OS type and the version: Server 2008
4. UA (phone), gateway or other hardware/software involved: Rauland Responder 5 integration to Iphones on Facility Wifi
5. Your problem: I have Responder 5 nurse call integration to Iphones. The Iphones are on the facility wifi, with a Bria SIP app. The integration works, and calls work great.
My question is in the Manual Registration of the Iphones within Brekeke. When I do a manual registration of the devices, there is field for expires seconds.
My question is: Can we permanently register these devices in the Registered Devices?
Here is the current Matching Patterns and Deploy Patterns:
Matching Patterns | $request = ^REGISTER From = SIP:30
| Deploy Patterns | $auth = false $continue = true

Thanks,

If Bria keeps running, it sends REGISTER periodically until you stop the application.
So you don't have to worry about it..
Even if you have a Bria's registration record permanently, Bria needs to send REGISTER periodically because its IP address or port number might be changed if it switched wifi access points.
Do you have any reasons to have a registration record permanently? |

Thank you for the response Laurie.
No, I do not have a specific reason to have a registration to record permanently. I just wanted to make sure we would not have to constantly manually register these devices in Brekeke if their registrations expired.
So as long as these apps are up and running, we will be OK?
Thanks,

Yes, It is.
According to RFC3261, SIP client should send a subsequent REGISTER request before the expiration interval has elapsed. |

We have gone live with this solution, and are having an issue when the Iphones are turned off for a period of time. When the Iphone is turned back on, the initial call to the phone fails but subsequent calls will work. The Iphones are acting like they need to reregister before accepting calls.
Is there a way to make the Iphone registration permanent so that when they are turned on after being turned off for awhile, they will work immediately?
Thanks,

It depends on iPhone's client software.
Which SIP client are you using on iPhone? |

No, the Iphones are powered down when not in use. _________________ TLS |

Have you tired to set a longer REGISTER period in the Bria?
Did it improve the connectability? |
