6. Your problem: Unable to set the detection of my presence and instant messaging does not work (while the signaling and Communication work
For the detection of presence I followed the wiki, I configured peer to peer in presence field of the softphone, I add the contact I want to know the presence, I put his phone number as name, Brekeke SIP Server as phone/address, i click on "show this contact availability. The contact appear after in my contact list but with offline icon, until he is available.
For IM, I try to send test messages but the recipient receives nothing.
Have you any idea to resolve it ?

I wonder...

Are you using 192.1.2.x as a private IP address?
If so, you should change it to another.. because it belongs to someone and it is not allowed to private uses..

Hello,
Yes I use the address as 192.1.2.X private IP address. I know that this address is not routable on the Internet but it is 'nated' in a NAT gateway. My use of BSS is limited to the LAN, as our affiliates are connected via VPN. In this way our addresses do not go out. Does it pose problems?
Thanks

Hello,

Yes, the nat routines Brekeke uses are under the assumption that you use only private addresses in the nat address space. When you use public addresses in the private address space it can cause a problem.

However, when i had the same problem Brekeke suggested i put the following into either the dial plan or the sv.properties.

&net.rtp.follow.remoteaddr = true

You can try this to see if it helps and let us know since i never had a chance to test it.

Nick
