Hi,

I want to use an itsp SIP account. I created a new ARS with my account informations, like it's written in the Brekeke PBX administror's guide.

I captured the network trafic with wireshark and when Brekeke tries to register to my itsp, it sends a DNS request with:
-queries : _sip._udp.my_itsp_domain

Of course this domain doesn't exist so brekeke returns "Register failed (403 forbiden)"

Can you help me please?

> -queries : _sip._udp.my_itsp_domain

This will not cause any problem.
Did you change any dialplan rules? Did you see any SIP REGISTR requests in your wireshark?

hi, tks for answering!

No I didn't change any dial plan. And no, that's weird, I don't see any SIP REGISTER to my itsp, with wireshark. I thought it was because the dns queries didn't match?

tks

I m using a Free Telecom (France) sip account. Obviously, it doesn't like these sort of DNS queries.

I think _sip._udp isn't a reason of your problem.
but.. What domain name did you set for Free Telecom (France)?

Write the following at [Configuration] -> [Advanced].
net.dns.srv = false
The requesting will be disabled.

For your info, "_sip._udp " is for DNS SRV.

Are you using Upper Registration?

Where did you set "freephonie.net" in your settings?
Is it in the SIP Server? or is it in the ARS?

Also.. check the username/password again..

No I m not using Upper registration. Should I?

I set freephonie.net in a new ARS and nothing about freephonie in the sip server.
I also set pattern IN and OUT in this ARS.

tks

umm.

Are you still getting 403 forbiden?

Can you resolve "freephonie.net" by DNS at your PC?
e.g. > nslookup freephonie.net

Yes I m still getting 403 forbiden.
Now, Brekeke send a simple DNS queries and the answer is OK. But I still have 403 forbiden...

No REGISTER is send by Brekeke after the dns queries.

is your PBX behind NAT??
if your pbx behind NAT, you need to set a global side IP address as an interface at the SIP Server's settings.

If your ITSP accepts registrations, then you are better served to use upper registration. This will cause Brekeke to pass the registration packet directly from your UA to the ITSP.
